Risks of reproductive unhealth among rubber workers - A study of waiting time to pregnancy and miscarriage - Risks of reproductive unhealth among rubber workers - wifes to men who worked in rubber industry

The study is based on cohorts of women who worked in the rubber industry or were married to men who worked in the rubber industry, as well as women who were members of the Food Workers' Union (controls). All of the women were born in 1960 or later, which was a requirement for enrollment in the study. Telephone interviews were conducted with 174 women who worked in the rubber industry, 379 wives of men who worked in the rubber industry and 403 women who worked in the food industry. In the interviews, data were collected regarding waiting time to pregnancy (time to pregnancy; TTP), pregnancy outcomes for the womens all pregnancies. Further questions were asked about lifestyle factors (eg smoking), workplace exposures, and various ergonomic loads before and during pregnancies. Purpose: To investigate if working in Swedish rubber industry adversely affect time-to-pregnancy and increases the risk of miscarriage
